you are going to need a little bit of all of those….you at least need some jujitsu defense and any art really to learn striking.

Jiu Jitsu and Thai boxing seem to be the staple combination.

  • Frank the tank:

For striking at least one of these: kyokushin karate, sanda, muay thai, boxing.

For grappling at least one of these: Judo, Brazilian jujitsu, catch wrestling, greco-Roman or freestyle wrestling.

Or you can do one versatile style like : Combat Sambo, shidokan karate.

    good luck!

You want to be as well rounded as possible so that you can fight standing up and have a ground game as well. I’d suggest training in all of the above. Mostly Ju-Jitsu and kickboxing but those two for sure. Best of luck to you.

    UFC is a company.
MMA is the sport you want to train for.

you need to train stand up striking- boxing, kickboxing, muay thai. Take downs and takedown defense- wrestling, Ground fighting- brazilian jiu jitus, or any grappling art.

it’s mma which is mixed martial arts pretty, so just simply train in different martial arts that include striking, grappling, and submissions.
